The 12,000m2 extension under a 15,000m2 sloping grass covered roof opened on schedule in October 2008, exceeding the targeted net return on cost of 7%. The final element of the project, a nine restaurant food court which also houses a kids’ play area, opened at the end of October 2009. Together with a full refurbishment of the existing gallery, these elements make the centre very distinctive in its catchment.
